A Little Extra Today
I’ve been trying to be..a better man
But one hello…breaks the dam
And a flood… of emotions crashes in…
Lost in lust.. for a friend
I know she knows
But does she understand
It ain’t easy…when time keeps passing by..
It’s in my heart..it’s in her eyes
What we want to say what we want to try
Still we live a pain..that never goes away..
If there’s one promise I can make
May she know I’ll never change
I hope she thinks of me
A little extra today
I haven’t written… a line in years
My soul stays burdened by hope and fear
As I think of you
A little extra today
Don’t you worry should come the day
I won’t make the same mistake
