A Little Bottle of Wine
Last Christmas I received
A gaily wrapped bottle of wine;
It’s so pretty just sitting on the shelf,
Tempting me all the time.
I know nothing of red, white, and Merlot,
But I think I’d feel sophisticated,
If I put on that sheer silk robe I have,
And fill a crystal glass, feel satiated.
For you see, the bottle is one serving size,
And I’d have to drink it alone,
So I guess I’ll use it in den décor,
And play like I know something I don’t.
