A Little Bit of Heaven
The baby laughs and looks into her mother’s eyes,
I see a little bit of Heaven.
Children wait with excitement as their father opens a present,
I see a little bit of Heaven.
The young girl makes a sloppy birthday cake.
I see a little bit of Heaven.
My dog greets me and places his head on my lap,
I see a little bit of Heaven.
As the old man tends to his bed ridden wife.
I see a little bit of Heaven.
As warmth washes over me when I pray,
I feel a little bit of Heaven.
When stranger helps stranger and goes the extra mile
I see a little bit of Heaven.
God speaks to my heart and blesses me with Grace,
I hear a little bit of Heaven.
Grandma lies on her death bed and reassures her family,
I see a little bit of Heaven.
When the artist proudly shows off her work,
I see a little bit of Heaven,
When children play without any thought of status, religion or race,
I see a little bit of Heaven.
When the pastor works hard and gives up-his life for others,
I see a little bit of Heaven.
On a perfect day, when the sun is shining, the temperature is wonderful, and the landscape is inspiring and I feel the prescience of God with me,
I see a lot of Heaven.
