A Like
My thoughts are more honest
Than the words I say are true
My phobia and fears are closest
To the image of me people view
And I smile to the monster behind you
They know me like I know them
Can you see my demons too?
Almost by default I portray your self
Your lows are a glimpse of my self
Standing on each side of the mirror
Having our own realities parallel to each other
And it makes me wonder
Why you haven’t noticed we exist together
Like light and thunder
Maybe you’ll realize tomorrow that I matter
That’s what I’m waiting for
To not be the storm but a color in your rainbow
