A Life Well Lived

Do you seek to be famous and well known,
Admired by all who hear you speak?
Immortality cannot be achieved by us.
We will matter only to those few we touch.

We are but a small piece of the vast puzzle
That binds all of the universe together.
A piece that can only touch a few others
As we travel thru our own place in time.

If we are to matter to those we touch
And be remembered in some small way,
Then we must be sure that our tiny space
Is filled with laughter and hope and caring.
