A life that is real
To get a life that is real,
we must eat more than one daily meal,
To find the strength to heal.
To get a life that is real
We must try to eat more than one daily meal,
And accept things that are not ideal,
With pain make a deal,
In order to feel,
And see what we try to conceal.
To get a life that is real,
We must find a way to get up when we fall,
In a world that is far from ideal,
A world where seeing oneself as real,
Requires more than one daily meal,
To find the strength to heal.
