A Letter To the Inner Addict

What can you do when nothing is enough?
What can you do when life gets too tough?
Where do you go when nowhere feels like home?
Who is there to call when you seem to be all alone?

 Outsider with nowhere to go
 Emotions you refuse to show
 You appear so strong
But in my heart I know something is wrong
There is a void you cannot fill
To feel alive you crave the thrill

 What do you truly miss?
 The life or the drug
What does it take to give your soul a hug?

I know we have met before
We've been hand in hand as we hit the ground beggin' for more
I will not allow you to invade my soul
Some how I will make myself whole
