A Letter From Joseph

Dear friends.

Sure, I was raised and taught to believe that someday God would send The Messiah to the descendants of Abraham, but never had I imagined that I would be so directly involved. I was a carpenter with no interest in politics or prophesy. I had no plans to be on the run for the life of my child. Neither did I have any plans nor desire to go to Egypt.

All I wanted was basically two things and never thought that was too much to ask. All I wanted was a virtuous and beautiful wife and to build things for my customers. However, before we could say, "I do", I discovered that Mary was with child. That was a huge problem for my bride because 'I was not the father'. While contemplating a solution, before I could say, "I can't", I was interrupted by an angel instructing me to not be afraid, but to proceed with the marriage because God Himself was the Father. By then, I was not only frustrated and baffled but also even more afraid and confused. There was no way that I could wrap my brains around such information. So, I simply obeyed. Sometimes, God allows life to come at us with 'outside of the box' situations. In my case, God took care of everything. You too can trust The Lord to provide His Grace in any and all circumstances. Your friend, Joseph
