A Knock on the Door

    Shaken to the core
by a knock on the door

    My mood’s not conducive
      to visitors intrusive

Though what else am I here for

Oh bother! Who's that knocking at our door. Me: You get it, Bill. Bill: No, it's your turn. For some reason we don't like unannounced visitors...weren't always that way. Me thinks we're set in our ways :-)

Yep. That's what happens as we turn inward upon ourselves.

Hello Gershon, If it is visitors, then enjoy their company. . if it is a door to door sales man, tell him to leave. Enjoy your evening my cfriend. Darlene/

Point well taken, Gershon. We do have to have a purpose to justify our remaining here. Bill

You're here for, to open the door -- your caring, tutoring heart has already been accessible to all of us, for many delightful years now. Blessings my friend. Have great writing week!

Ha, ha. You wrote 'tutoring heart.' I read 'tottering heart.' 'Cos that's what I've got...

I know that feeling - people matter, but I was in the middle of something (that probably doesn't matter but I hadn't finished it yet). J :)

I really like the simplicity and honesty in this, Gershon . The tension between solitude and connection comes through so clearly.

Thanks for recognizing that connection, Rowena. :)
