A Kiss

As I closed the distance
Between your soul and mine
The sand in the hourglass
Stood still for a while
The lights blinked out
as i saw you close your eyes
and for a moment
It did not matter if it was wise
Because it was a part of you
And it was all of me
Whether for a moment
Or years yet to be
Until my lungs could stand
With no air in their space
I want the time to settle
And let me hold your face.
