A Just Me Moment

This morning my mind raced Forward to meet you Gently tapping my forehead My eyes closed, feeling This release of relaxation Turning my head to the side Lids slowly rise - I sigh Another day without you Laying by my side Waiting for the clouds to break Chasing the cracks is the sun Waiting it's time to shine Oh how today I crave it's warmth Let it be me the sun finds first Today I feel exposed to 'alone' I cuddle myself and imagine It's you wrapping me tight A smile finds my mouth One thought puts me right It's true what they say The best things in life Are those that we await Like the finest of wines Patiently matured To never be rushed It's to be enjoyed, endured The richness of a sip Sweetness of a swirl You can only want more Time after time - evermore I feel alone sometimes When all I see is space Quietness is too quiet But the thoughts of you The time spent with you Moments shared with you A future I imagine with you Fills me with beautiful joy You are the skin I wear That I feel so comfortable in You make my day - night Everything in between One just me moment Has created a poetry riff Imagine how much creation You and me could do
