Ecclesiastes 3:11 - Eternity in the Hearts of Men

I left my past in all its fullness, thinking my life was almost complete. Then the present was upon me, like a flower’s fragrance, it was so sweet. I thought back to the past, a mere seed; yes, it must have been. For the present was surely, slowly growing within. In a dream my present became my future, my thoughts began explaining, That life would be more if I’d allow the expanding of my time remaining. For just as the present had come from the thoughts of my past, The future would be born from my dreams which are vast. It’s the thoughts that I have of my dreams full array, That brings in the contractions of a future day. The future will be fleeting, how could it last? Eternity is waiting, and the end of time has been cast.
