A Job Awaits- Dragon Style

Now Dragons brothers, Joey and Casey had jobs they went to…
And Dragon suddenly had nothing, nothing, simply nothing to do.
So I took him to McDonalds… That most wonderfully, wonderful place!
To get him an ice cream…to help put a smile, on his cute little face.
And what was there posted, so much, much, much to our great surprise?
An employee opening was right there, absolutely, in front of our eyes!
Now Dragon was beside himself, to begin immediately, yes, right away…
And the owner was crazy enough to give him a big YAY!

Now I tried to stop this, I must VERY DEFINITELY say…
But did the storeowner listen? On that I must say, a VERY big Neigh!
Dragon was given a T-shirt that said: The Yummy, Yummiest Fries In Town, today!
And yes, Dragon agreed, in absolutely, every one, every… single… way!
The First job given was to bring in, a big stack, of delivery boxes, left beforehand.
And he was able to pick them up, completely, all together, in one little hand.
Now the manager was impressed, and oh so happy, yes, most verily complete…
Until the wind blew them and Dragon, all the way, down, down, the street…

Maybe he shouldn’t have let the wind catch him, as he accidentally opened his wings!
It was meant for balance, but, well, I guess that doesn’t work, in the early spring.
And it took him soo, soo long to bring all those numerous, so many, many boxes in.
That it was late, late, late in the morning, before he had them all within.
Next Dragon was to be taught, how to cook, those great, great, wonderful fries.
So they tied up his wings and tail, so he could safely get thru the narrow isles.
What could possibly go wrong? When Dragons are totally immune to hot, hot fires…
Yep he was very, very hungry, by now, and ate them all down as, he did desire.

I do surmise, they should have given, a lunch break, to our hungry, growing, little man.
At least, before the lunch customers arrived, who wanted those fries. Amen!
Next they tried Dragon with the sodas. You know getting them ready to heartily drink.
But the Styrofoam cups kept melting as all the fries gave him heartburn. Ya think!
You see Dragons need to be fed balanced meals, very often, and those mostly meat.
And right now dribbles of fire were some-what troubling, and causing defeat.
The ice cream station was next, but his big fingers… crumbled the cones, at his feet.
Crumbling one by one, at least the ice cream put out his heartburn. Toot sweet!

They now sent Dragon to help, Steve the cook, in the background, being over run.
But Steve came running up front. You can definitely say, NO, he was not dumb.
Yep, fire is hot in an enclosed space, and Dragon is a DRAGON you see… after all!
So very, very wisely… Dragon was finally sent back home… walking tall.
Like his brothers Joey and Casey… there would be a paycheck to be proud of… after all!
Later Reality set in, it was minus taxes, medical, plus the cost of food and fries.
But fortunately he only owed $1.25 when it was done… And he was assured that he’ll…
Always be welcomed back as a customer in the end…Any time!

Oh my, Dragon tried his best, failed his test, lost his job and the rest is history. Hope he fares better on the next one. A funny read.
