This is such a great haiku dear Andrea. Love your artistic, poetic words here. A few words that convey so much and expertly paints the scene. ‘ skeletal trees’ love that line! The contrast between stripped bare, forlorn trees under a dismal sky and yet a songbird sings brings joy and light to an otherwise drab, January day. Great imagery. Impressed. Hugs :))

We're experiencing exactly what you write here in NY today. The simple write enters my mind and focuses it on what is happening out the window. So now it's inside and outside.
