Hi Tina, first I would like to welcome you to Poetry Soup. :) I hope you're enjoying your moments here. Not sure why anyone would write poetry using Chat GPT or AI and say it's their own. Seems to me those that do so are lazy, or, they feel their thoughts/emotions aren't worthy of being read and felt. Frustrating and sad, all at the same time. I feel insulted, when a poet ises it, And they do here! You are right, none of us are stupid. So their cheating, breaks a bond with me, thet signify I cannot trust them. Our poems make thumbprints. Then a poem comes a long that is so AI!! And they even get a POTD? I wont sign those, because I know I can no longer trust them. It’s a very sad experience to me.. right. If you cannot be yourself, who can you be? When you do that write your name, fake Smith! Congratulations. Pangie

Congrats on your POTD. Yes, AI is killing creativity and poisoning PS. But for genuine poets, AI is a challenge to create more creative poetry which AI can't emulate. ^___^ JCB

Dear Tina, Congratulations on POTD. If it isn‘t from the heart it isn‘t creativity. AI is changing the landscape dramatically and being a mental health counselor/therapist it threatens our job. I agree 100% and sadly there is plenty of AI poetry flooding on to soup. I used to report it but have given up as nothing is done. If a poet posts 10 poems over a period of time and they all come up as 100% then a red flag is raised. I will never stoop so low:-( hugs jan xx
