A Humble Home

The cloud spreads over
A humble, humorous hut
Built amidst shrubs

Lone as an island
guarded by tiny, tall trees
…a peasant’s abode
coming home to rest
after the day’s duty, tired
…a peasant farmer

cottage with peasant
coming home with a big hoe
…hung on his shoulder

…for Abe Lopez’s contest on Van Gogh’s paintings, the title is ‘Cottage with Peasant Coming
