Yes, they can fly and need that ability when in the wild to help them survive for dogs and other animals are their enemy..Great work..Enjoyed reading it this eve..Thanks for the kind reviews of my work..Sara

Trimming, is that done a lot? I've never heard of that. I used to live on a farm when I was younger, but we only raised sheep and hogs. No hens. This is quite interesting though. Thanks for bringing it up! Wonderful poem Jack!!

We used to take them to the peak of the barn and sail them for distance. They didn't fly too well but they could glide.
