A Heavenly Home - 2

Laughter falls over my thoughts
Pouring joy into me like hope lingering
On stardust nights, brilliant as a smile
Hungry like my heart as it grows closer
To the Son, the Light, the One
Who I base my life, my hope, upon

Jesus came down to shine His light
Across the lives who know
He is the hope we’ve been praying for
The grace we’ve been waiting for
The second chance for love that abides
In the heart He fills with His glorious light

Joy is rained down like dewdrop dreams
Emptying the heaven’s endless insight
So that we can feel the beauty and peace
The whisper of a tenderness, a caress
Lifting all the worry and fear, piercing
The darkest shadows with His magnificence
His brilliant rays of wonder and inspiration
Feelings that flow through our hearts
Fill us up with a sense of acceptance
The miracle of a grace that unfolds into
The heart who knows that His love
Is the answer to every prayer, every need
The answer that supplies and agrees
Love like this fulfills our heart’s demands
While assuring our souls that we have
Everything we need to reach heaven’s home
