A Heartfelt Ride

My heart is on the ride, bouncing
Upon a masterpiece of art
Painted by His hand, taunting
Stroking brush across the canvas.

In the pursuit of a vision
He attempts to bring it to life
With His expert hand in motion
At time forceful, other times light.

He takes my heart upon a flight
Above a magnificent land
The measure of His love to light
The walls of its chambers, His plan.

Yet to ride the land He designs
Takes it through valleys and steep hills
Upon a thorny path hard to climb
But along with the song of two whippoorwills.

If not for the grace of seeing
The beauty of His will while it flew
It would have given up its beating
With the pain found in coming true.

Great verse babe Painters still another poet, unhappy till they reach their stride, reaching for the finished masterpiece, obsession burns away inside, see perfection get it now, one more stroke will it decide, no alas still slight inperfection, struggles battles feels the pride, love Don

Very expressive work..Enjoyed reading very much this eve..He does take us in very strange places with the goal for us to become more like him..If we don't learn the first time, then we have to go around and around that mountain..The sun rose apricot in color but was half consumed in cobalt blue clouds..Sara

Dear Caroline, I'm glad you sense God's presence guiding your through life's journey. We do encounter peaks and valleys along this road, but it is faith that helps us make it to the end. Hope things are going well for you now and that the whippoorwills are bringing cheer with their delightful song! Love, Carolyn

To be aware of god's presence, guiding me through life's journey never leaves me. this is the very reason why I write,, to honor Him/Her and to return love to Him/Her by the same token. Thanks for always giving me such support and encouragmennt. Take care, and best wishes! Love, Caroline.
