A Happy Camper

Life's taken on a whole new meaning At this late stage on my trek If I never ever see another tomorrow It's complete as it'll ever get Much happier now than I've ever been There's joy in my heart everyday The world could end but my life's complete There isn't much more I can say A most fortunate soul if there ever was one Don't know if I deserve this much joy Not going to fight it, going with the flow Happy as a kid with a new toy This may sound a trifle over the top I'll admit I'm blabbering on But happiness has taken over my soul Each day from the break of dawn A happy camper am I © Jack Ellison 2013

Jack - Thanks for getting my morning off to a great start! However, I disagree with one line, you DO deserve that much joy because you've earned it!...I'm sorta in the same position having retired in 2011 from a very stressful career in the printing industry...Got me a cozy little place close to my family and I'm happy as a clam - Tim

Similar backgrounds Tim... a graphic designer for about 55 years! Retired in 2009! However, I was a free lancer and it was a whole less stressful with a couple of very steady clients! Happy retirement my friend!!!

Dragon says he feels the same way since he discovered barbecue sauce... He says when you flame every thing... the sauce makes every thing zing!... He's got me there... with that one... LOL... Wait til he discovers the salsa I bought for him tomorrow... Hope my tennis shoes survive it... LOL
