A hand to hold

I may be naive and I don’t know why
I may be weak but I ain’t dumb or shy
I may be alone but you are never satisfied
I may be gone away but you will eventually…subside…

Maybe I’m just overthinking things through…
Maybe I’m getting over you…forgiving you…
Maybe I’m just sinking through the cracks of the sand
Maybe I just need a hand to hold and an ear to understand

Don’t hold on to me if you want to let go, let go
Don’t let your coldness overtake my warmth once more
Don’t let your boldness mix with my own flow
Cuz I don’t want to let go; but eventually, I’ll soar…

I may be too much to bare sometimes
I may be a lullaby with too many rhymes
I may be on my own but you will never know what it feels to be happy
I may be a runaway fool, but at least I don’t make others feel absolutely crappy
