A Hair Raising Experience

I spied eighteen ‘yeti’s in line
One even looked like Frankenstein
Since lockdown’s been lifted
For haircuts they’d drifted
The barber’s skills made them look fine

Slight tongue in cheek observation after our barbers and hairdressers have been allowed to open

Thanks Lindsay we definitely need more humour especially at the moment, things getting better here no new cases in 20 days but we are pretty much sticking to our routine of the last 12 weeks or so:-) hugs Jan xx

When I wrote my first poem 'splendid Isolation' it was a sad one as it was about how I felt when my hubby was actually undergoing his surgery and I felt so scared and vulnerable, but when I joined soup I wanted to show bring a smile so my first poem was Just Desserts which is a funny poem and my own personal favourite. Perhaps I never liked poetry before as I found it pretty dull and dry apart from Lear's limericks ... perhaps that is why i try and buck the trend with my sillies:-)hugs jan xx

So the Bojo coif hasn't caught on in IOM? Our new infections rate soared from 0 to 9 in one day due to protests, so certainly need a change of subject! Aloha! Rico

the protests will cause another wave of new cases - they had a protest march here today, they expected 100 people over 1500. I just hope we wont get an outbreak again. Hugs Jan xx

Thanks James, we are now on day 20 of no new cases so business are starting to re open albeit on restricted basis. from 15th pubs can open as long as they serve food, it will be a couple of weeks later that other pubs can open. I think social distancing will also go down to 1 meter at that time too:-) hope all is good with you and your loved ones:-) hugs jan xx

Your comment has made my day Reggae I never liked poetry when I was younger and only started writing in 2013 when my hubby was actually undergoing his cancer surgery. On the whole I try and write lighthearted poetry that people can relate to:-) hugs jan xx
