Mick, I like the way you took each last line and used it in first line of the next verse. I can't recall the name for doing that!!

Hi Andrea, According to some, "experts", that is the way all haiku should be, capable of being inverted and still stand alone. I entered one contest where that was one of the stipulations. It works for Basho's classic.................................................................................... old pond... frog leaps in... water's sound..................................................................................water's sound... frog leaps in... old pond................................................................................. It doesn't work for all translations, but are all correctly translated? Please do let me know your thoughts... Happy Easter Mick
