How I love the positive message in this poem, BJ. During the pandemic, many graduates have not been able to celebrate. So it's important to remind them that the greatest rewards for their achievements are yet to come. A lovely example for your contest. Best wishes, Carolyn

Thank you Carolyn, yes, our graduates have worked so hard to the goal of commencement <3 They need to be encouraged in this time. Last year was difficult, and here we are a year after the pandemic began, and many in person graduations will not take place. This is their time to celebrate and shine. It is so important to not allow them to feel minimized, they deserve to be celebrated! That is what this contest seeks to do, may the poets pens flow!

Yes, I agree with you, such a wonderful milestone for any graduate, any age. It always makes me fight back those tears at graduations when they are marching up to receive those diplomas to Pomp and Circumstance. It is a really big deal <3

Regina, your words are some of my greatest encouragements! This means so very much to me, and I love you too! I told me husband that my lifelong favorite poetess Emily Dickenson has a competitor in this beautiful poet Regina McIntosh. I read him your poems sometimes as I read them myself for the first time. I told him I'm unwrapping your gifted poems with him. So, my sweet friend, you see your words mean a lot to me <3
