A Gospel Cry

In moments of sadness
the world seems so crowded
I feel that I can't stand
the difficulty at hand.

  It's a continuing struggle
  a challenge and a sign.
  To live with principles
so that life can cope with endurance.

I see others abound with other options
either they surrender or remain in the race
The world may stand still,
awaiting for a human answer.

  Perhaps, it gets no response
so visible in the surface at once.
But the passage of time can identify
  there's reason and purpose, why?

With those stumbling blocks and rough roads
especially at the major crossroads;
bound with faith and trust in the Lord,
I can keep going and say 'Lord, be at my side.’

  It's a biblical cry, a gospel cry
when one's heart weeps for the power beyond.
  God, in His mighty assistance,
are wings of hope, love and assurance.

At times, I stumble and say no more,
But it keeps bouncing back then
repeats the same word: Patience
I do the best I can -
with strength in faith, patience and perseverance.
