A Glimpse of a Dream

It came to me in a dream as I was floating in the middle of a monstrous sea.
I'm stranded as I sit in a boat by my lonesome wondering when I will be set free.
A song plays in my head of myself begging you to please have mercy on me.
Give me a wind that'll blow me ashore.
Give me a wind that'll escape from the soft creases of your lips and send me to a place where I won't be hurt anymore.

I beg you to drop me off into the sanity of a place unknown where I can be left alone.
Take it easy on my heart because with each atom bomb you drop on my vessel, it tears me apart,
Inside and out, I'm falling to pieces with each attack.
I'm left alone to drift into an era I have no knowledge about,
Where I don't know what's coming next,
But I feel alright.
But you can't stand that?
Is that it?
Why do I need to be in such turmoil when I'm the girl who minds her own business and does her own thing.
Just blow me ashore now before I jump into the watery blockade and become a prisoner of Davy Jones...
Because anywhere is better than here right now.

Amazing how a dream can blow one into solitaire - written with so much conviction. -beautiful
