Trickling raindrops run
down a pane of glass;
where a lit candle
offers travelers
a glimmer of hope,
on a stormy night.
This flicker of light
lures passing strangers;
promising shelter,
food and merriment;
awaits them within
the warm embrace of
this welcoming inn.
