Notes About The Poem

Image result for the coronation of King Charles

A Gilded Carriage

The adulterer and adulteress rode In a gilded carriage, while horses strode Many looked on with pride Others hated the ride Most of the world yawned in blasé mode
I had some thoughts when they said he was the leader of the Church Of England.

Yes, Victor, if a person doesn't repent then the judgement will happen and the end results won't be a good one. Thanks for dropping by and taking time to comment. Sara

Ann, I appreciate the kind review of my work. It was a grand day and into the night for them but at what cost monetarily, emotionally for others, the destruction of a home, hurt for people(his wife, sons, maybe her son and her ex), and a nation. Sara

Excellent limerick, Sara Is the gilded carriage a gilded cage? Take care, Shirley

Shirley, I would say that the carriage is somewhat of a gilded cage as well as the most expensive and unique ride that exists. Our Savior rode on a donkey which had never been ridden before and He was a man who had never ridden a horse before(that I know of). Sara
