A Gift Forgotten

We act. Rationally or irrationally, logically or at random, often intuitively. Wise is he who considers first the consequences of his actions. For we do fashion our destiny, like it or not. Then we complain, a futility of whining, nitpicking trivialities fashioned by our own hand. We oft do wrong: For which we pay. Then we blame our God, we blame our devil, we never blame ourselves. Society loves immorality, it is food for the ingenious, served so well by a mediocre media. The gift of wisdom, the discerning of what is right is trampled underfoot, much to our later dismay.

What a true, write about what happens to people who talk without a thought and who act in a disrespectful and careless fashion, surely they mark up black crosses instead of ticks for what inevitably comes to pass for all life on earth. Awesomely penned. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer,

Your right in what you say Victor, I myself rue many a day, things said can’t be taken back, we have to learn to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Wise words in your free verse… Belle

The gift of wisdom, the discerning of what is right is trampled underfoot, much to our later dismay. Those last four lines tell me a whole story Victor. How easily it is to ignore the voice of reason and follow a shallow heart at times. Thank you for sharing.
