A Gentleman
I met one of the greatest gentleman not that long ago,
A pure and gentle spirit, one that I wish all could know,
He knew just how to woo and melt a womans heart,
Now he sits on my couch and we will never be apart.
He decided today was the day to bring out that ring,
A black diamond is the only jewel to make me sing,
He placed it on my finger and it shimmered it the light,
I know he will do all he can to treat me good and right.
My advice ladies never wait around for any type of man,
If they are dishonest, lie, cowardly, run as fast as you can,
For the Good Lord will provide a real decent person for you,
One that will think of your health and not make you blue.
