A Gallivanting Romeo
A gallivanting Romeo, he rode
into my world, so handsome and unique.
Finesse with a seductive gaze he showed!
The few times that I saw him, he would seek
a rendezvous with me. I had a ring
on my left finger, and I do not stray
from my commitments. Yet my heart would sing
to see his gaze! For strength I had to pray.
Precarious was my position. He
tried hard to make me acquiesce, but I
would not give in - though dreams of ecstasy
assailed me! Then I learned about his lie. . .
I called him on it. Nonchalant he grew.
There should have been a ring on HIS hand too!
