A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To Here
I started my life as a normal girl,
but when walking I liked to leap and twirl;
my mother enrolled me,
in dance- oh joy and glee.
As time passed on clearly I was no good,
when I was suppose to dance I just stood;
then, as I grew I found me and I could.
Now I dance free and wild,
a dancing spirit child;
I am one with the sky people who smiled,
down on this girl- now a warrior strong.
Leaping like I belong,
I am part of each song;
some think, I look dumb as I prance and whirl,
funny thing though- I don't care as I swirl.
