A Frog Named Turtle

A green chunky over stuffed frog named Turtle
one tortuga de rio
went home with a little boy
The little red-headed imagination drenched boy dressed Turtle
                    in camouflage
and held him close each day

The little brown-eye fair skinned boy
did case studies concerning everything about his
                              Ninja who loved to play
This camouflaged crafty warrior
who parachuted from lofty heights without cracking his plated shell
and definitely came alive for this frog named Turtle was not in any way a

                                              toy!!!

This frog who became tortuga terrestre and entertained the little boy
now resides in a drawer awaiting

His golden opportunity to come alive again and parachute from lofty

                                 lofty heights...

Alas! The little red-headed brown eyed fair skin boy now
wears

                                 a military uniform at school
                                        and carries a wooden gun

Ninja Turtle can no longer fight for he lost his little boy!!

This is a lovely, interesting and informative write, Sara. I've never had a turtle, but I have a tortoise which also likes to play and run in circles (I've had it for over 30 years now.) // paul
