A Forgotten Self
Simply to let it go by
Some things just ain’t meant to pursuit
Reasons for a better why
When the answer is a never you
Is it better if I’m not to chase?
Chasing a dream beyond our own
Is a once love enough to taste?
Or rather a memory for a once known?
Without you... I’m free once more
No longer need I abide to your misgiven rules
Perhaps trying too hard for an asking for
Yet... I’m never cultured to be a common fool
Being what I am... I am
Trying to make me follow... I won’t
You are who you are till the end
For a life is a given for each to roam
I have change for your liking once
To date... I have not felt a return
Need I pursuit for your chance?
Or have I a life I’ve forgotten to yearn?
