A Fool That I Am

All of yesterdays wilt
Reflections of the glass were very clear
As it has always been
Today, I wish it hadn't been that way
Yearning and longing was what it was
The only thing I have ever known
I am afraid
The moment that I start to walk
I tell myself a lie
A fool that I am
Believed such a lie
Like a broken record
I do it again and again
As the darkness came
Today, I lie again
