A fly on the wall

A mere speck of dust, a fly on the wall,
lives out its life in a narrow domain,
as do we whilst pretending to stand tall,
though demonic desires are not yet slain
and we are as yet bound by ego’s chain.
As in the allegory of the cave,
we sleep walk through life from birth till our grave.
