A Flag
Once carved its path to the doorway of your heart, and gathered there all the sidewalks you dared tread of barefoot soul. Walking amongst those flits and flares, your shadows cast. The noon-day sun burns bright this starred and barred swag. Its colorful wisdom speaks without mouth or tongue. A language, an embodiment, a truth, pursed often, prevailed upon by even fewer. In the shade of Honor, Content and Commitment YOUR colors be worn as they wave and flap in the breeze. Those often forsaken truths do lie upon its lofty brow, it beckons thus a history of United Country, of State, of Freedom and Liberty.
A life sought by many, gifted to even fewer, and as such, "MAY GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH."
