A Father's Love Prayer

My youngest daughter
	Beautiful in love
	Wise in life
	Rich in grace

A deep-joy in my life
	Loyal in family
	Trust-worthy in relationships
	Steadfast in faith

Her journey ahead
	College, internships, new friendships
Adventures filled with hope, fear and excitement
Whatever your future holds - My love goes with you

My Prayer for you
	Everyday and in everyway
	Morning, noon and night
	Unceasing love-prayer

May Christ go with you
Before you to show the way
	Behind you to encourage you
	Beside you to befriend you

Above you to watch over you
Within you to give you peace
	A Father’s love
	Always

Dad

Awesome David... I too have a precious daughter.. a gift from God...I stand forever in awe of the fact that God entrusted her to me...although she is now 25 and a woman in her own right, I pray a similar prayer over her every day ~~X~~

David what daughter wouldn't want a father's prayers like yours that you prayed for your daughter? I'm inclined to believe all daughters would. My, my, my, such a heartfelt poem.

Wow! This is beautiful, David! It show the lovely relationship between father and daughter. We all wish the best for our children, and though we put our trust in them, we still can't help worrying! All the best my friend. // paul

Not only is touching but overcoming And to a beat we must be drumming For all of life to learn so much about Hide my ego being sure not let it out. Isn't this what life was meant to be? And forget about dog going on a tree Watch out for way you want to dress Then to God all of your sins confess. Around each corner is a new challenge Could be life itself or being in college May be by yourself to dusk from dawn But have both parents to depend upon. Jim Horn

It is a blessing to this reader David, to know that you dedicate this love prayer to your daughter. Few men do, ironic, since it is a very essential part of nurturing. Loved it. 7. Hugs!Kim :-)

It was truly a joy to share the poem with her. You are so right about nurturing love . . . I know raising my three daughters that I needed to share my love verbally, physically through hugs, and by the written word. I believed if I did not show my love that they would have sought it via other means. Thank-you once again for your kind visit. Much love and light

Thank-you Kim and am delighted that you stopped by and posted. It is funny, when we were first married and started talking about having children I really wanted a boy -- but now 25 years later, my three daughters are the world to me. Much love and light!

David, this is so heartwarming! Reading a great poem is one thing, knowing a great man wrote it, quite another! A7
