A Failure's Song

Expecting love from a stranger
Is quiet a deaf danger
When you've never known love,
You've always been a desolate lonely dove
Who can't rise above
Her melancholic misery,
Oh poor dove, you can't find love!

What's the point of waiting
Like a dog for its master,
When misery is you laughter
And love is as lonely as hating.

Alone you came and alone you'd go,
How could you believe that you finally became someone's eyes’ glow.
Your family believes you're the sight that makes the eyes sore,
Did you really make it up that someone finally loved you when you were bored?

Oh unloveable, unworthy failure,
No love no affection there is for you,
Don't even think about some white knight as your saviour.
Self-loathing is your golden as much as it is your blue.

We ARE kindred spirits. I'm sure I have written this way. But It was my shyness that always got in the way. I write about it often. But this one Got me. I have to read another.

Dearest Anne, we were born to love, and all are worthy. Just letting you know, this thought is possible... very much so. ' Expecting love from a stranger. ' Keep your heart open for love, my sweet friend, the right one will find you, when you least expect it. Hugs and blessings to you. ~ Brandy

I concur with the comment of Anaya... we are born alone and we die alone. But what matters is the space between birth and death. Here we are not alone, we are with people and in a world of many possibilities. One can associate with those of whom who have similar wave length. To some extent, one can find joy in oneself. A conscious effort to get out of depression is what is needed. Hope, soon you'll write a Victor's song. Quite poignant and powerful, dear Anne.

It maybe true that we are born alone and we die alone, the in-between is what we can make it, God helps those who help themselves, a whole world out there. I believe. A failures song - we'll be there to strum along~ May blessings, Anne

Dearest Anne, just like someone arguing with the mirror on a night when everything feels heavy and overwhelming. I enjoyed how the voice keeps calling itself names it never truly deserves, that tension struck me most. There’s definitely a raw honesty and a sense of mistaken pain for truth. Perhaps, like a moment caught mid-spiral, not the whole story of who they are. Always enjoy your poems! You are blossoming, my dear Anne. Blessings, Daniel
