A Failed Tree
There was a tree
Its seed was planted in between rocks
It luckily sprouted after some days
It showed its leaves
It received rains of the season
Then one time it said
Oh this is not enough
I am stunting
I could have been growing so high
I could have started bearing more fruits
Only if I was put on a fertile land
Only if I was watered thoroughly
I better be transplanted before it is too late
Then, it was transplanted,
It started getting watered thoroughly
It started growing
It showed signs of producing fruits
As it showed flowers as a symbol of hope
Then the tree was too proud
And it started provoking fellow trees on the rocks
The tree got too comfortable
And said, “I need water no more”
For I am comfortable now
I can do it without water
I can do it even on a rock
I am so productive
I am so strong now
Then the tree started withering
It lost its flowers
Its roots started dying
Since they could not suck water any more
And it died
