A Drive By the Village

A breath-taking view,
Refreshing breeze to go with..

People plowing and working in fields,
Obeying those commanding them about.

A mountain in view nearby,
With fresh, green valleys,
Yet some rough, barren slopes.

Untiring blades of the windmill at work, rotating
And some coconut trees, capturing stillness.

Some creatures hiding within the bushes,
Others, running round and about..

Tiny houses of straw to one end,
And majestic mansions to the other...

It was a lovely drive through the roads,
both narrow and wide,
But Alas! it’s time to go back
from the quiet countryside!
