A Dream of a Dream
I had a dream
A dream of a dream
Of a woman
Who's hair waved beautifully
Like the wind through a tree
It all just came to her naturally
And this woman was innocent
Had been with no other man
For she wanted to wait
For a more perfect date
She did not try to hard
To get a mans attention
Because she had not a care
She never left skin bare
She went to church, and she was held together
Weak not, was her personality
She shined brighter then a midnight star
But like the star, she was out of touch
From my mind, she faded away
And the image of her went grey
Just like the dream
Nothing in this life is what it may seem
Everyone has a past
Morals never seem to last
We grow old - make mistakes
There are a lot of fakes
In the world today
No matter what we say
There is inner truth
Like a recluse - hidden away
