A Dream

Twilight falls and colors of evening infuse vacant skies As day has come to an end, so must man’s toil Quiet reigns in hearts and gardens lit by fireflies When hands and feet gladly cease labor and recoil She lies in repose with a settled spirit calmly drifting away Though transient passages dissolve like wispy smoke There, she finds contentment where realities go astray In a magical place where a pleasant dream is not remote ~*~ 5/19/14 Note: Too late for Isaiah's contest: "A Dream", but here it is anyway! : )

Dear Annalise, Oh, how I wish you and I could "calmly drift away" and find the peace and contentment you describe here. Beautiful images in the first verse. Sorry you missed his contest. This would surely have been a winner. Hope you are doing well now! Love, Carolyn
