A Downward Slide
Birth to death is a downward slide
Notice the signs every day
My luscious hair is thinning rapidly
Muscles are starting to decay
Eyesight's caused me to wear by-focals
My back's in perpetual pain
Haven't had to use one of those walkers
Don't have use of my brain
On the bright side still alive and kicking
Though high as I once did
Keep exercising and eating sensibly
Gonna try to stop my skid
Got a few years left in this body
Making best of the time I've left
Spreading cheer with my silly old rhymes
Till my bod's laid to rest
Phew!
