A Down To Earth Type Elf

When you get right down to it That's exactly where I'll be A truly down to earth kinda guy Pretence is not for me Others try to show a bravado They think it's what ladies like It's very true some of 'em do But more like the tender type When a man cries, the girlies swoon Cuddle you to make you better The mother instinct at surely at work Right on down to the letter It isn't difficult, should come natural Just gotta try being yourself Girlies aren't looking for a hero type Just a down to earth type elf So now you know how to score A big hit with all the dear ladies Just be yourself, stop trying so hard You'll find the one, no maybes © Jack Ellison 2013

"I need a HERO...blah blah blah...to the edge of the night! And he's gotta be strong...etc" Sorry, I lost control there...the song attacked my brain as I read this. In ANY case, yes, be yourself. Always. =) Wonderful!

I think, for the most part, poets are being themselves when they write and expose their souls, their innermost being. Well in most cases anyway! WOOP!

Mike spent a lot of time lately up in the air... On ladders cleaning out the gutters and the mess from the fallen limb... He made great friends with the Gutter Frogs... It started raining and before he got back down to earth... They preformed their a rendition of singing in the rain for him... When he sleeps they serenade him... Isn't that cute! Pay attention Dragon! They worked together and not one flame erupted... SEE! It can happen! Hey! Leave the Gutter Frogs alone! They're not competition!
