A Dog and a Cat
A Dog And A Cat
A dog and a cat
ran away from their home
The cat wasn't bothered
The dog brought his bone
They went cross country
avoiding the lane
Reached Carlow town
and took the next train
Then brazen as you like
Booked a small room
He signed the register
Kitty-cat and her groom
Later they grew hungry
went out for a treat
Returned after dark
slept in their suite
The owner grew wary
it didn't seem right
That divergent species
sleep together that night
The case was last Tuesday
doggy looked ruff
The judge wasn't happy
she called him a pup
The following day
the dog sat on his rug
Sighed long and loud
felt a proper mug
The cat lay beside him
dreamt of fresh cream
Swore on her nine lives
she'd ignore his mad schemes
So there you are folks
when it comes to speciation
Keep your eyes peeled
when next at the station
