A December Memento

December's chill thawed on that, our first date,
When fingers entwined and brightened my fate:
Two hands, my coat pocket,
I soared like a rocket--
Forty years on, she's my orbiting mate!

How wonderful. Made me think of my brother at a cousin’s wedding. His wife hd her hand in his pocket and another cousin leaned over and with a twinkle in his eye said, “Hey, we’re in church!” LOL

Thanks for sharing this. By God's grace, I greet you with the peace and joy of Christmas and prosperous New Year along this present: "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23 of the King James Bible). God bless you.

I LOVE this one. It reminds me of when I played handsies with certain boyfriends I had in my youth. Those were the days!! Congrats and merry Christmas.
