A Dachshunds Wish

Sausage some call me I beg to disagree. I know I am not tall In fact I am quite small My body long and thin About which I never grin. Low to the ground Is how I trot around Floppy ears hanging down Makes me look like a clown. I will make a wish upon a star It’s not supposed to matter what you are Time for a change Kit and caboodle I wish I was a stately poodle.

Thanks for dropping in. And thanks for the congrat. Not hard to not win though if most entries get first place. But the poem was fun to write and that is the name of the game

Too Cute. Our daughter has a Dachshund. She rescued him from the pound. His coat was mottled, and he was blind in one eye. But he's a sweetie. She named him Pinto Bean, and everyone calls him Bean.

G'day Shane... Had a grin with your poem. A dachshund must feel it on a frosty morning with those stumpy legs. Regards - Lindsay

Hi lindsay, Thanks for stopping by to read my work. I suppose though if he was cold he could trot on the spot until he got hot or canoodle a Poodle while eating some strudel! Have a wonderful day Shane xxx
