A Crosswise-My Love

Your face your eyes your smile
So deep so green so warm
Awoke met mine dear heart
In me that day a part

In me that day a part
This desire to kiss to hold
Always your lips to me
Remains divine all mine

This form (which I have labelled crosswise) was popular in the 17th century. It can be read in

Brian, our friend on this site HGarvey Daniel Esquire, has written a few poems like this, I believe without even knowing it has been done before. It seems like such hard work (for me) to make it all come together so beautifully! I love the idea. Awesome! Love, Shar
