A Cross To Bear

If I could play this out for you,
                                  If you could see the end,
                                  There would be many parts, 
                                  You would eagerly amend.

                                  If I could play this out for you,
                                  If you could recognize your pain,
                                  Perhaps you would stop the tape,
                                  Rewind and start again.
